Finalist eLOTTM Notice

Because of recent increases in the size of the USPS® eLOT data file, it will be necessary to install a Product Update for the version of Finalist your company currently has in production. The format and function of the eLOT databases will remain the same, but Group 1 Software, Inc. must increase table sizes within the Finalist product and build programs to handle the new database sizes. Note: Applying the Product Update is ONLY necessary if you are currently posting the 4-byte Line of Travel Code and/or the 1-byte ASC/DSC code with your Finalist product.

Beginning with the October 2007 eLOT database release, you must be using updated software along with the October database release. Your current software will NOT support the increased size of the October 2007 eLOT database.

Customers will be notified via email when the Product Updates are available for download.

...Group 1 Support Site Makes Searching Simple
The Group 1 Support Site is now fully searchable. We have added a new Google Mini search appliance that allows you to search through the Technical Support Site to locate the information that's most important to you. In addition to searching through the Support Site, the new search feature will search through the content of PDF documents to bring you your search results. When searching for a term, the search will extend through the entire documentation library to provide the most accurate search results possible. As long as the page that you are on is within the Group 1 Technical Support site then your searches will include content available within the Support Site. Search boxes are located at the top of almost every page on the site. Give it a try today.

...Group 1 Support Site Update
The USPS has recently implemented a Data Export Policy that restricts how certain information may leave the United States. This new policy affects some of the databases that Group 1 offers to our customers. Read more about the Data Export Policy at the USPS RIBBS website.

The following Group 1 databases are affected:

  • DPV Database
  • LACSLink Database
  • SuiteLink Database
In order to comply with the new policy, Group 1 has made updates to the Support Site that restrict access to these databases to U.S.-based customers. Non U.S.-based customers will not have access to any of the above listed databases. If you are not a U.S.-based customer and you own one or more of the above listed databases, please see your Group 1 Sales Executive for more information on this issue.
