With the ongoing help and suggestions from our customers, Group
1 continually strives to provide the industry's finest software.
Beginning August 1, 2003, Group 1 implemented a new procedure for
customers and associates to submit Product Enhancement Requests.
All Enhancement requests will now be submitted through the Group
1 web page, http://www.g1.com/support/forms/,
logged as a Service Request, and forwarded to the product planning
team for review. This team will conduct regularly scheduled Product
Enhancement Reviews to determine whether the requests will be accepted
at that particular time. Once a decision has been reached, the Product
Manager will send an email to the appropriate requestor with the
aforementioned decision. If a request is accepted for inclusion
into a product, the Product Manager will open an official Enhancement
Request and assign the request to a Product Roadmap.
For more information about this newly-implemented process, please
view our Online Service Source at http://www.g1.com/support/orientation/techsupt.asp#ProdEnh.
With excellent attendance and nods of approval for the sessions
and speakers, Horizons 2003 was a definite success. Hands-on product
labs, New tracks and sessions gave customers many options for learning
new information about Group 1 products or just refreshing what they
already knew. Washington, D.C., was the place to be in July. The
Horizons Hoe-Down was a nice break from the sessions and learning;
everyone relaxed and enjoyed the evening.
It's not too early to make plans for next summer. Don't miss out
on another great conference sponsored by Group 1. Horizons 2004
will be held in Atlanta, GA, at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta Hotel, from
July 21-23, 2004.
In an effort to be proactive in communicating with our customers
about the discovery of defects within the Group 1 Software product
suite, we have developed a delivery system that will alert you to
any upcoming software fixes to any products you own.
A new addition to the Product Updates page is the file name "pending"
- "Pending" indicates that a defect has been discovered in the product
indicated and that Group 1 is working to find a solution. You will
be notified via NewsCast of any new pending product updates. As
work progresses, the entry will be updated online; if this occurs,
each time you login to the Product Updates page, a "new" flag will
appear. When the Product Update is complete, a link to the downloadable
file will become available. You should check this page regularly
for the latest pending product updates.
Group 1 continues to strive to enhance our customer service and
communication. This addition to our Web
site is just another step in keeping our customers informed.
