Group 1 Software Introduces MOVEfast
Software Solution, Supporting United States Postal Service (USPS)
NCOA/Link Program.
Approved by the USPS as Certified NCOA/Link(TM) Interface
Distributor
Recently, Group 1 Software announced the release of MOVEfast,
a complete software solution that enables organizations to utilize
the most up-to-date address information. With this new technology,
users can access the address changes of the over 45 million households
and businesses that move domestically each year. MOVEfast
verifies a given address and checks to see if it is in the NCOA
database.
Group 1 Software has been certified by the USPS as an NCOALink
Interface Developer and NCOALink Interface Distributor, enabling
Group 1 to market MOVEfast to both end-user organizations
and service providers. Additionally, the MOVEfast software
can support any of the three USPS license types - Full Service
Providers, Limited Service Providers and End User Mailers. Group
1 has supported both end-users and service providers through its
direct marketing software since the inception of the USPS change-of-address
programs.
MOVEfast supports the USPS National Change of Address
(NCOA) program using NCOALink technology. MOVEfast incorporates
Group 1's industry-leading CODE-1 Plus, a Coding Accuracy Support
System (CASS)-certified software solution that provides address
validation, correction and standardization. By standardizing address
information before accessing the NCOA database, organizations
can accurately identify matches against the database.
MOVEfast can be implemented in highly scalable production
environments and generates a variety of business and postal reports.
The technology handles address data in virtually any format, thereby
reducing processing time. Additionally, MOVEfast incorporates
features that facilitate postal auditing and compliance. MOVEfast
is currently available on Windows and IBM Mainframe platforms
including, MVS, OS/390 and Z/OS. It is anticipated that MOVEfast
will be available on the Unix and iSeries (AS/400) platforms in
the near future.
Mailers and marketers interested in purchasing MOVEfast
software, must file appropriate paperwork with the USPS and be
authorized to purchase software from a licensed distributor.
Group 1 Software, Inc. is a non-exclusive Interface Developer
and Interface Distributor of the United States Postal Service.
Pricing for MOVEfast is not established, controlled or
approved by the United States Postal Service. All fees established
for MOVEfast are payable to Group 1 Software. NCOA/Link
is a trademark owned by the United States Postal Service.

Universal Coder Now Incorporates Delivery Point Validation™
(DPV) and Address-Related Metadata
Group 1 Software recently announced significant enhancements to its Universal Coder product, which incorporates Group 1's industry-leading address validation, correction and standardization technologies for over 220 countries and dependencies worldwide. Universal Coder provides unparalleled flexibility by letting organizations implement global address data quality in their own enterprises. Alternatively, users can access this functionality via hosted services using a single application programming interface (API).
Universal Coder now returns real-time metadata with each address validation request. Using this metadata, users have insight into the changes made to the address and can determine which information to accept based on business rules. Consequently, areas of the enterprise that utilize real-time address data, such as Web sites or customer contact centers, can realize a significant reduction in invalid addresses by analyzing this value-added intelligence. This metadata also incorporates DPV™ (Delivery Point Validation), a technology offered by the United States Postal Service®. DPV™ enables customers to verify whether the entered address actually exists.
This product is the only address data quality product on the
market that can process global address data in a single pass:
mixed data from any number of countries can be submitted and processed
simultaneously. The address-level metadata is returned in a standard
format for all countries. The Universal Coder supports Java, COM,
C, and C++ interfaces and can be easily integrated into a .NET
environment.
Universal Coder is built on Group 1's LESLIE service-oriented
architecture, which enables organizations to integrate Group 1's
data quality services seamlessly across the enterprise. By utilizing
this unified product architecture, Group 1's data quality solutions
can be more easily integrated, configured and maintained, as well
as used in a Web Services architecture. Through this highly extensible,
consistent single point of integration, companies will be able
to integrate more quickly these key data quality functions into
third-party applications, legacy applications and data repositories.
“The Universal Coder is a one-of-its-kind solution that provides tremendous real-time insight into address data,” said Bob Bowen, CEO of Group 1 Software. “We will continue to invest significantly in leading edge technologies such as the Universal Coder and our LESLIE services-oriented architecture.”
