AutoDelivery IS HERE!
No more waiting for CD/DVDs to arrive. No more handing off the tapes so the data can be removed. No more sitting and waiting on a download to finish. Now you can have the database delivered to your network location automatically.
We have a new application, AutoDelivery, which works with all databases available for Internet delivery. AutoDelivery will "check in" daily to see if there is a more current version of the database available. If there is a newer version available, it will automatically initiate a download. Typically, you will have the files on the same day as they become available. AutoDelivery only automates the delivery of the databases. It does not automatically install the data.
AutoDelivery is a Windows only application. It works with all files that are available for delivery over the Internet, but only with files that you are listed as the product owner and are current in maintenance.
After two successful downloads, AutoDelivery will prompt you and give you the option to no longer receiving physical media. With the use of AutoDelivery less tapes, CDs, DVDs, etc. are shipped, which means less disposal for you, our customers! This can be our small part to help our environment. Think Green!
For more information, please contact Technical Support at 1-800-367-6950, option 1.
Customer Conference 2008 Wrap-Up
The first ever combined MapWorld and Group 1 Customer Conference, "Live in Las Vegas" was a huge success! A record attendance of over 800 customers, partners and employees came from around the world. The event began with a fanciful performance from Balagon, featuring acrobats, jugglers, and mimes.
There were more than 130 educational sessions offered that touched on our vertical markets, insurance, government, communications, financial services, and media, as well as the MapInfo/Group 1 lines of business and products. Attendees could also attend hands-on sessions and real-world case studies presented by their peers (other customers). Session presentations are available to download from:
http://dl.mapinfogroup1.com/presentations
We also had a great exhibitor showcase and reception that included over 35 booths. Attendees were able to take advantage of our Resource Center to experience live demonstrations of our most popular products, as well as seek technical expertise on products they currently own.
This year we introduced the Meridian Awards program to traditional Group 1 Software customers. MapInfo customers have been participating for 3 years in this prestigious awards program.
