Mid-July Brings Second Set of Rate Case Changes

July 15, 2007 is an important date for mailers who presort Periodical Mail, because that is when the second wave of rate case changes go into effect. To meet this deadline, Periodical mailers need to download and install MailStream Plus® 7.8.1 during the last week of June.

Why Install MailStream Plus® 7.8.1?

Not only are Periodical rates and preparation rules changing, but a new set of surcharges will be applied based on the number and type of bundles, containers, and pallets. For example, the way that "Outside County" firm bundles qualify for discounts is changing, along with its preparation and palletization rules.

Mailers who do not presort Periodical mail should still install the software soon as there are some changes for other classes of mail, including the new postage statements.
