USPS® Expands Compliance to SuiteLink™ and DirectDPV

SuiteLink Release

SuiteLink is expected to be released to all CASS™ engine users. Per the USPS:

SuiteLink is a data only product containing business addressing information, specifically identified as highrise default records, as a result of CASS processing. This data, resulting from the only product provided by the USPS, allows developers to create a software interface with the capability of appending the secondary (suite) information to a business address, providing the input address is a highrise default record.

DirectDPV Release

The USPS has released DirectDPV, a new method to quickly determine whether or not a record was previously ZIP + 4® coded with CASS Cycle L or greater software.

This new release enables CASS software to quickly decide whether an input address requires reprocessing through traditional CASS coding engines. DirectDPV requires an additional database and more coding logic to perform this function.

At this time — due to deadlines for CASS Cycle L — CASS engines, CODE-1 Plus®, and Finalist® do not support DirectDPV.

The DirectDPV product is expected to be released after the CASS Cycle L software is implemented in the field and the requirements are deemed satisfactory by the users. Presently, product requirements, specifications, and designs, for this important product release, are in review. Beta testers will be allowed an opportunity to review and test the software prior to release.
