"Customer Data Integration (CDI)"

Customer Data Integration (CDI) is the consolidation and management of customer data from all available sources. This customer data typically includes contact details, valuation data, and other information collected across multiple channels and through various interactions.

CDI is most often used in Master Data Management. It allows access to the overall information collected on a customer including all attributes, cross-references, critical definitions, and unique identifiers. This information is necessary to uniquely differentiate one customer from another.

Properly conducted, CDI ensures that all relevant departments in a company have constant access to the most current and complete view of customer information available. As such, CDI is an essential element of customer relationship management (CRM).
