The design of the new statement drove our new requirements for a document composition system. The new statement uses graphics as well as one-to-one marketing messages and we found that there were just a couple of companies who could deliver all our requirements and run in a high-volume production environment.

What's New in DOC1 5.4?
DOC1 has been upgraded! The new 5.4 version includes the following features:

- Support multiple repository use
- Control table page breaks
DOC1 Version 5.4 Features and Benefits
Highlight Key Data With Margin Notes
The margin note feature introduces two new types of logic items:
- Margin Note — an object, similar to a text box, attached to a paragraph or table cell in the main document. Margin notes are used to draw attention to key areas of the document.
- Margin Note Area — an area used to facilitate the positioning of margin notes.
Multiple Repository Support
Multiple repository support provides the user with the ability to select a specific repository at login. This functionality allows users to easily set up and access multiple DOC1 repositories. This is a considerable time and effort saver when access to more than one repository is required.
Table Page Breaks
Controlling page breaks, or page throws, in tables provides the user with the ability to break and restart a table on a new page, based on variable data. This greatly simplifies the user’s work when a break in a table is required based on a data record change. It also eliminates the need to reformat the data to achieve the correct page breaks required by the business.
