CDQ Platform Universal Name Module
The Universal Name Module, part of the Customer Data Quality Platform, breaks down strings of data into multiple fields to standardize data elements with greater accuracy. This module offers flexible name parsing capabilities enabling you to match, standardize, analyze, or consolidate complex records with increased confidence and effectiveness.
The Universal Name Module provides you with:
- Sophisticated Parsing — Enhances in-house data files, as well as purchased mailing list files, quickly and easily parsing information into a range of usable data fields.
- Data Formatting — Strings data together to form a single field or breaks up strings into usable components. Provides the flexibility to build a clean record format for further processing.
- Name Separation — Separates names into multiple elements including title, first name, middle name, surname, suffix (Jr., Sr.), and business title.
- International Knowledgebase — Compares records against referential data, including millions of name variations across 110 cultures. Optional name libraries are available with extensive knowledge of Arabic and Asian names.
- Name Variants — Finds database variations resulting from typographical errors, letter substitutions, alternate spellings, and abbreviations. Considers different spellings based on country of origin (e.g. Michael, Mikhail, Mykolas).
- Gender and Ethnicity — Provides gender and ethnicity information that is useful for targeting or customized marketing.
- Custom Terms — Creates a list of custom terms to use as the basis for scan/extract operations.
