Leading Canadian Energy Provider Union Gas Selects
Group 1´s DOC1 for Customer Relationship Communications
Lanham, MD — Group 1 Software (Nasdaq: GSOF) announced today that Union Gas Limited has selected Group 1's DOC 1 to develop over one million customized bills each month. Union Gas is a leading Canadian natural gas utility providing energy delivery and related services to more than one million residential, commercial, and industrial customers in over 400 communities in Ontario. DOC1 enables companies to create high impact personalized communications for delivery in print or via the Web or e-mail.
"DOC1 enables us to develop personalized customer documents quickly and easily," said Glen Reaume, IT project manager at Union Gas. "With DOC1, we have increased flexibility to format and maintain customer relationship communications. Like any energy provider, we frequently change the customized messages on our correspondence. With DOC1's interactive development environment, we can now view these messages as they change, therefore avoiding a slowdown in production associated with printing and proofreading customer correspondence."
"We are excited to offer Union Gas a solution that helps them reduce costs, while adding flexibility and shortening development cycles," said Alan Slater, president of Group 1's DOC1 Division. "DOC1 is known for increased operational efficiency, greater user control and significantly improved targeted communication. Businesses like Union Gas can build stronger customer relationships through the ability to respond quickly to any client interaction with personalized marketing messages."
