Group 1 Releases MailStream Plus 6.2.4
Adds Significant Enhancements to Industry's Leading Presort System
Lanham, MD — Group 1 Software (Nasdaq: GSOF) announced today the release of MailStream Plus 6.2.4, its state-of-the-art presort software solution. Among the many significant enhancements to the solution are the integration of the existing manifest reporting system and the ability to generate drop-shipped mailings automatically. Certified by the United States Postal Service (USPS), MailStream Plus 6.2.4 offers companies the most powerful software product to presort mail for the highest attainable postal discounts.
The integration of the existing manifest reporting system into MailStream Plus 6.2.4 enables customers to produce manifests for their mailings during the normal execution of a standard mailstream job. Furthermore, by automatically generating drop-shipped mailings, MailStream 6.2.4 enables customers to take advantage of the lowest postage rates from the USPS. Another major product upgrade provides users the ability automatically to adjust the amount of mail being shipped to a specific entry point based on the cost of shipping to that point. Mailers can thereby avoid sending mail to a destination where the shipping costs are too high for the volume of mail being dropped.
"With the continued growth of e-commerce and increasing competition from other direct mail cataloguers, we must continually strive to optimize our postal expenditures," said Frank Morgan, Customer Warehouse Manager for JCPenney. "The considerable enhancements Group 1 has made to MailStream Plus will enable us to remain ahead of the curve as it pertains to presortation and postal discounts. For instance, with the upgrades to the product, we will be able to more efficiently and finely route our mailings using the enhanced entry point features."
"The enhancements to MailStream Plus 6.2.4 represent dramatic improvements to the core technology and provide our customers with the industry's most comprehensive, efficient presort capabilities," said Victor Forman, Vice President of Data Quality and Postal Affairs, Group 1 Software. "This release demonstrates Group 1's continued commitment to its traditional customers by providing them with a robust, user-friendly presort solution."
