Group 1 Announces Initiative with IBM for WebSphere Integration


Lanham, MD — Group 1 Software (Nasdaq: GSOF) announced today that it has entered into an agreement with IBM to provide IBM's WebSphere Application Server as a component of Group 1's enterprise software solutions.

"We are excited about teaming up with one of the leading Java environment providers to take further advantage of the rapidly growing e-commerce opportunities for our core functionality."

In future releases of its core products, Group 1 will incorporate the ability to interface to customer Java servlets with Business Object Beans. The new agreement is Group 1's first software initiative with IBM. Group 1 is currently working with IBM as an AS/400 and Netfinity server reseller and is a member of PartnerWorld for Developers for AS/400, RS6000 and mainframes.
