LANHAM, MD (October 16, 2006) — Group 1 Software, Inc., a Pitney Bowes Company (NYSE: PBI), today announced the launch of a Canadian mailing efficiency trade-up program, providing a seamless transition and support plan for existing users of Business Objects/Firstlogic Canadian International Presort software who switch to Group 1’s SortStream™ Canada presort solution to maintain mailing discounts when support for their existing software is discontinued.

Group 1’s trade-up program includes implementation, license, maintenance and support terms that provide for substantial recognition of the value of existing Business Objects/Firstlogic software licenses, providing companies with the additional comfort of investment protection as they make the switch to Group 1’s SortStream Canada presort platform. Additional consideration is available for customers who also sign up for Group 1’s Canadian CODE-1 Plus® address verification, and other U.S. and international mailing efficiency solutions.

With the new trade-up program, Group 1 is also reiterating its commitment to supporting the Canadian mail efficiency market through its SortStream Canada presort and Canadian CODE-1 Plus address verification products, which are fully recognized under Canada Post Corporation’s Software Evaluation and Recognition Program (SERP).
