Agilysys Partners with Group 1 Software to Enhance Industry-Leading Property Management System
Address Verification Technology Integrates into Lodging Management System to Ensure Mailing Accuracy
Lanham, MD and Cleveland, OH – April 14, 2005 — Group 1 Software, Inc., a Pitney Bowes Company (NYSE: PBI) and Agilysys Inc. (NASDAQ: AGYS), today announced that Agilysys will incorporate Group 1's Universal Coder™ address hygiene software into its Lodging Management System (LMS), one of the hospitality industry's leading property management systems.
Group 1's Universal Coder™ will be integrated into Agilysys' LMS for online real-time ZIP+4 verification. At the time of reservation or check-in, the names of guests are entered into LMS. With Universal Coder™, a pop-up window with the guest's address will be shown to the user, who can then choose to override that address with a new one or accept it as valid. The system will improve the accuracy of the names and addresses in hotel databases for mass mailings and other marketing purposes.
