Group 1 Releases PAVE-Certified MailStream Plus 6.3
Regulatory Release Complies with Latest Postal Rate Case
Lanham, MD — Group 1 Software (Nasdaq: GSOF) announced today the release of MailStream Plus 6.3, its state-of-the-art Presort Accuracy, Validation and Evaluation (PAVE) certified software solution. Certified by the United States Postal Service (USPS), MailStream Plus offers companies the most powerful software product to presort mail for the highest attainable postal discounts.

Given the very short timeframe between last week's Board of Governors' decision and the January 7, 2001 implementation date, it is very important for our customers to be receiving MailStream Plus 6.3 in such an expeditious manner. The commitment of Group 1's Associates and our interaction with the USPS Implementation Readiness Team and the PAVE staff were invaluable."
Group 1's Manifest Reporting Plus, a complementary product to MailStream Plus, has been validated for the Manifest Analysis Certification (MAC) program for batch processing. Manifest Reporting Plus enables mailers to combine mail pieces of identical or different weights and rates into a single mailing. MAC certification eases the acceptance of manifest mailings by the USPS. Thereby mailers and the USPS are assured that manifest mailings are prepared in accordance with postal service regulations.
