Group 1 Software's DOC1 Series 5 Receives Xplor Brazil Excellence Award

Group 1's robust customer communications products are proving to be the solution of choice

Lanham, MD — Group 1 Software, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE: PBI), today announced that it was awarded a Xplor Brazil Excellence Award for DOC1 Series 5. DOC1 Series 5 is a customer communication management (CCM) solution combining data acquisition and cleansing with personalized document creation, multi-channel delivery, long-term retention and closed-loop feedback. Group 1 introduced this revolutionary version of its award-winning software in April of this year.

DOC1 series 5 offers many significant enhancements, including a role-based user interface to provide the appropriate GUI for both the user and the task. This includes power objects such as transaction tables and user-defined, portable business logic enabling application developers to create complex, logic-rich transactional documents 80% faster. In addition, DOC1 Series 5 provides more powerful data access and manipulation functionality enabling users to connect to any number of data sources regardless of its location or complexity.

According to Xplor Brazil's Director of Marketing and Operations, Rudyard Zanella, the Excellence Awards serve to "recognize and encourage those who have made notable and significant contributions to the electronic document systems industry." Group 1 Software "was recognized as a company that makes consistent and effective efforts to develop software solutions that enable its customers to grow their business."

"We are honored that Xplor Brazil has recognized Group 1's vision, market leadership and powerful technology in presenting this award to us," said Alan Slater, President & General Manager of Group 1 Software's Electronic Document Systems division.
