Group 1 Software Elevates Veteran DOC1 Sales Managers Oscar Vazquez and Kurt Jackson To Divisional Vice President Positions
Lanham, MD — Group 1 Software, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Pitney Bowes Inc. (NYSE: PBI), today announced the promotions of Oscar Vazquez and Kurt Jackson, longtime sales managers in Group 1's DOC1 Division. Mr. Vazquez has been elevated to vice president of sales – Latin America and Caribbean region, DOC1 Division. Mr. Jackson has been promoted to vicepresident of sales – North America, DOC1 Division. Both Mr. Vazquez and Mr. Jackson continue to report to Elizabeth Walter, executive vice president – worldwide sales, DOC1 Division. Group 1's DOC1 Division develops markets, distributes and supports software that manages every aspect of an organization's critical business documents.
Oscar Vazquez, a five-year Group 1 employee, has built Group 1's Latin American distribution operations from a nominal presence in 1999 to a leadership market position with over 50 customers. He has also overseen the development of Group 1's channel program in the region, entering into re-seller relationships with Accenture, Convergys, IBM and Intersoft and Xerox. With Mr. Vazquez spearheading DOC1 distribution in the region, leading organizations in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, and Venezuela - among other countries - have implemented DOC1. In his new role, he will also be responsible for the distribution of Group 1's Data Flow data integration technology in the region. Mr. Vazquez has served as Latin American regional sales director since joining Group 1.
Kurt Jackson has served in positions of increasing responsibility in the DOC1 Division's sales organization since joining Group 1 in 1996 as a field sales representative. As both a sales representative and a sales manager, he has been involved in the licensing of DOC1 to hundreds of end-user organizations in North America. In his new position, Mr. Jackson will be responsible for both field sales and sales engineering support. He most recently served as Director of National Sales, DOC1 Division. Mr. Jackson is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, with a background in mechanical engineering.
