Group 1 Software Names Jim Starnes Vice President
of Business Development, Enterprise Solutions Division

Lanham, MD — Group 1 Software (Nasdaq: GSOF) today announced that James M. Starnes has been named vice president of business development for Group 1's Enterprise Solutions division. Mr. Starnes has served as a sales and business development manager with the company during his five years with Group 1 Software. In his new position, Mr. Starnes will be responsible for expanding Group 1's relationships with hardware and software vendors, consulting firms and systems integrators. With over twenty years experience in the high technology sector, Mr. Starnes has served in wide-ranging management positions in the hardware, software, systems integration and consulting arenas.
