Group 1 For Enterprise Data Quality
Diversified Adds Data Quality Capabilities With Group 1's Data Consolidation and Global Address Validation Technologies
Lanham, MD — Group 1 Software (Nasdaq: GSOF) today announced that Diversified Business Communications of Portland, Maine has selected Group 1's data quality solutions to cleanse and consolidate global customer information. Diversified provides information and market access through trade exhibitions, magazine publishing, and online resources on four continents.
Diversified will be using Group 1's data quality solutions to cleanse domestic and international address records that reside in ten disparate databases. Additionally, Group 1's merge/purge software will be utilized on a daily basis to identify and eliminate duplicate records. “Group 1's technology will enable us to enhance the value of our most strategic resource - our customer information,” said Pauline McNeil, data services manager at Diversified Business Communications. “With Group 1, we can obtain greater control over our data and improve enterprise data quality.”
Diversified has licensed a number of Group 1's solutions to improve the quality of its customer data. Group 1's Business Merge/Purge Plus enables Diversified to identify and eliminate duplicate consumer and business-focused name and address records. With business names comprising nearly ninety percent of its address records, Diversified required a robust technology such as Business Merge/Purge Plus that could handle seamlessly both business and consumer information.
For address data quality, Diversified is implementing CODE-1 Plus, which validates, corrects, and standardizes customer address data. With over 1,500 organizations using CODE-1 Plus, this leading technology provides accurate, on time delivery of correspondence and eliminates the operational costs associated with misdeliveries. To maximize the effectiveness of its global direct marketing efforts, Diversified has licensed CODE-1 Plus International. This software solution uses postal address files obtained directly from postal administrations worldwide to validate and correct addresses for over 185 countries and dependencies. For an additional 37 countries and dependencies, CODE-1 Plus International formats address data.
