Group 1 Enhances Message1, Helping Marketers Develop and Implement Customized Marketing Messages
Combination of DOC1 and Message1 Provides Innovative Web and Print Content Delivery System
Lanham, MD — Group 1 Software (Nasdaq: GSOF) announced today the latest release of Message1, its innovative software solution offering marketers unprecedented flexibility to develop, manage and deliver individualized marketing messages. Message1 is offered in conjunction with DOC1, the fastest way to produce dynamic, easy-to-read, personalized business documents for print and on-line delivery.
Message1 enables users to select individuals who should receive messages based on customer or prospect data. The application supports the development and rollout of sophisticated message campaigns over time. With Message1, marketers can control message content, format, and selection criteria.
Among the latest enhancements to Message1, marketers can now dynamically preview messages within an individual statement or bill without having access to the DOC1 application. Marketers can also verify, without involving the IT department, that the conditional logic upon which a campaign is based functions as intended before beginning live print production. The Message1 user interface supports an automated workflow approach among message authors and reviewers to ensure approval and signoff of regulated content. Messages also include full color images, facilitating the creation of attention-grabbing, high-impact customer messages.
"Our clients are continually changing the personalized messages on their customer communications," said Bruce Thomas, product director at SEI Investments, an early adopter of Message1. "With this innovative product, we can more easily modify messages without hindering the document composition process."
"The significant upgrades we have made to this innovative product gives marketers even more power and flexibility to create highly targeted message campaigns," said Alan Slater, general manager of Group 1's DOC1 Division. "These upgrades are even more powerful when combined with the concurrent enhancements made to DOC1, further extending our leadership position from print based technologies to Web-based composition and multi-channel delivery. DOC1 and Message1 are the industry standards for marketers who want to use customer documents to cross-sell and build customer loyalty."
Message1 runs under Windows NT and Windows 95/98. The DOC1 system allows dynamic document applications to be developed in a WYSIWYG environment on a Windows NT workstation. Currently, over 400 customers worldwide rely on DOC1 to generate millions of customer-focused documents every day. The DOC1 production engine can run under MVS, Windows NT, Windows 2000, UNIX (Sun Solaris, HP/UX and AIX, DEC UNIX), Open VMS, OS/400 or PC DOS. DOC1 generates XML, PDF, and HTML for Web presentment as well as AFP, HP/PCL, Postscript, Metacode, and line data for high-speed production printing.
For product demonstrations of Message1 and DOC1, visit Group 1's booth (#707) at Xplor 2000 at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami Beach, Florida from October 31 through November 2. At Xplor, ask a Group 1 representative to see demonstrations of Message1 and DOC1 in a real-world office environment in the DOC1 technology suite.
