Emerson Process Management Selects Group 1's DataSight
Solution To Enhance Knowledge of Global Customers
Group 1's Flagship Data Quality Solution to Help Unify Customer Data From Operating Divisions Worldwide
Lanham, MD — Group 1 Software (Nasdaq: GSOF) today announced that Emerson Process Management has licensed Group 1's flagship data quality solution, DataSight. DataSight provides enterprise-wide correction, validation, and enhancement of customer, prospect and supplier data. With DataSight, organizations can consolidate disparate data to achieve a comprehensive, accurate single customer view for increased sales and marketing effectiveness. Emerson Process Management, an Emerson business (NYSE: EMR), is a leading worldwide producer of process management products including control systems and automation software, measurement devices, analytical instrumentation, and valves.
DataSight will be utilized across Emerson Process Management's products lines to enhance the organization's knowledge about partners and customers in its global sales and manufacturing divisions. Emerson is implementing DataSight to validate, correct, match and consolidate customer records from over 70 business units to develop a single, comprehensive and accurate representation of each customer's relationship with the enterprise.
DataSight's sophisticated name standardization capabilities, together with third-party referential data, will be used to define the hierarchical relationships among the firm's global customers. This intelligence will be an integral component of the Emerson Process Management's marketing efforts, most notably cross-selling and up-selling initiatives developed to expand penetration of existing accounts. Additionally, this insight will help improve customer service by providing verified, up-to-date information to customer-facing employees.

DataSight provides comprehensive support for non-name and address data including phone numbers, part numbers, dates, social security numbers, credit card numbers, email addresses and any customer-defined data elements. DataSight is also offered in real-time for businesses that need to ensure the accuracy of data as it enters the enterprise from a variety of real-time sources. Such sources include Web servers, customer contact centers, and order entry systems.
