First Health Selects Group 1's Flagship
DataSight Solution for Enterprise Data Quality
DataSight to Provide Accurate Single Customer View
Lanham, MD — Group 1 Software (NASDAQ: GSOF) today announced that First Health Group Corp. (NASDAQ: FHCC) has contracted for DataSight, Group 1's flagship data quality solution. DataSight provides enterprise-wide correction, validation, and enhancement of customer, prospect and supplier data, helping businesses consolidate disparate data to achieve an accurate single customer view for greater return from technology investments.
First Health, headquartered in Downers Grove, Illinois, will use DataSight for The First Health® Network, the nation's largest directly contracted medical network, with over 400,000 doctors and allied health care professionals and nearly 4,300 hospitals. DataSight will standardize, validate, match and consolidate data across First Health's three major lines of business - group health, workers' compensation and the public sector. “The implementation of DataSight will assist us in maintaining high quality data to most effectively preserve and update physician and hospital provider information for the benefit of members,” said Mike Hewitt, manager of data administration at First Health. “As a Group 1 customer for over a decade, we have derived substantial benefits from the company's technology and are confident in Group 1's data quality strategy and roadmap for the future.”
DataSight enables companies to increase operational efficiency and maximize customer lifetime value and return on investment from customer relationship management (CRM) and other enterprise technology initiatives. DataSight provides comprehensive support for non-name and address data including phone numbers, part numbers, dates, social security numbers, credit card numbers, email addresses and any customer-defined data elements. DataSight is also offered in real-time (DataSight RT) for businesses that need to ensure the accuracy of data as it enters the enterprise from a variety of real-time sources, including Web servers, customer contact centers, and order entry systems.
“DataSight will help First Health meet its goal of providing pioneering technology to deliver comprehensive, cost-effective and integrated solutions that meet its clients' managed health care needs,” said Bob Bowen, CEO of Group 1 Software. “The selection of DataSight by this longtime Group 1 customer underscores the market potential for this new technology among our over 2,000 current customers.”
