Group 1 Software and Creo Partner to Offer
New Solutions in Variable Data Printing

Anaheim, CA (XPLOR 2002) — Group 1 Software (Nasdaq: GSOF) and Creo Inc. (Nasdaq: CREO; TSX: CRE) today announced that they are partnering to create unique variable data printing workflow solutions for the banking and finance sectors. The new solutions will allow businesses to print personalized, full color documents created with Group 1 Software's DOC1 suite and printed by digital printers connected to a Creo Spire color server.

Group 1's integrated DOC1 suite offers control of the document lifecycle, from content design, generation, and presentment to archive and retrieval. Group 1 will support Creo's Variable Print Specification (VPS) output created by Creo's industry leading Spire color servers.

The highly robust Creo Spire color server is a market-leading solution that offers superb quality output and advanced color management. The workflow of the Spire color server makes handling and producing a variable information job as easy as a regular print job. The RIP handles variable information easily making production of transactional printing applications fast, easy and reliable.

“We are excited to partner with Creo to extend DOC1's output capabilities to include a wider variety of full color applications, including direct mail as well as transactional documents,” said Alan Slater, president of Group 1's DOC1 Division.

Spire color servers now drive the new Xerox DocuColor® iGen3 Digital Production Press, which offers a 100 full-color-page-per-minute production rate. Leveraging the unmatched speed, throughput, color quality and image quality that the Spire delivers to the Xerox iGen3 engine and DOC 1's control of the document lifecycle enables both companies to deliver a joint solution designed for high-volume variable data transactional applications. "We are pleased to offer the broadest array of market-ready advanced solutions to the variable data printing market and are therefore delighted to welcome Group 1 Software to our VI Partners Program," stated Ronen Cohen, corporate vice president, Print On-demand Systems Group at Creo. Group 1 Software, as a market leader in CRM solutions, reinforces Creo's foothold in one-to-one variable information printing."

To see a product demonstration of the DOC1 suite, visit Group 1's booth (#1045) at Xplor. Creo will be demonstrating its solutions in booth #T3.
