Charlotte County Florida Utilities Selects
Group 1's DOC1 Archive for Electronic
Storage and Retrieval of Customer Correspondence

County's Customer Service Representatives Have Immediate Online Access to Customer Bills

Lanham, MD — Group 1 Software (Nasdaq: GSOF), a leading provider of customer relationship management (CRM)-enabling software solutions, today announced that the Charlotte County Florida Utilities Department has selected Group 1's DOC1® Archive product to extend its customer communications management capabilities. DOC1 Archive will be used by Charlotte County Utilities to provide its customer service representatives online access to exact replicas of customer bills. Charlotte County Utilities is a water and wastewater utility, serving approximately 50,000 homes and businesses in the Greater Port Charlotte, Florida area.

DOC1 Archive is a component of the DOC1 suite, an integrated, end-to-end customer communications management solution, providing both print and Web delivery. The solution gives businesses complete control of the document lifecycle, from content design, generation, and presentment to archive, retrieval and payment. Personalized, high impact communications with customers and prospects are the sought-after end results of all CRM initiatives.

“Having used DOC1 to design and generate customer bills, we are impressed with its power, flexibility and consistency,” said Chris D'Urso, utilities information systems manager at Charlotte County Utilities. “DOC1 Archive will enhance customer service by providing our customer account specialists the information necessary to resolve inquiries in an expedited manner. Additionally, we are strong advocates of DOC1's product direction and anticipate expanding our use of the DOC1 suite to enable our customers to view bills online and pay them electronically.”

DOC1 Archive offers real-time storage, compression and high-speed retrieval of business documents, enabling users to archive and view millions of documents and maintain years of historical billing and statement data online. The solution employs next-generation compression and indexing techniques and utilizes industry-standard hardware, minimizing the investment traditionally required in storage and host platforms. With DOC1 Archive, customer care representatives have instantaneous access via a Web browser or desktop application to electronic bills and statements.

“We are pleased that Charlotte County Utilities has selected DOC1 Archive to enhance customer service and support,” said Alan Slater, president of Group 1's DOC1 Division. “We look forward to working closely with them to support their growing document generation, delivery, and payment needs.”
