Group 1 Enhances DOC1 Suite
for Customer Communications Management
Latest Release Offers Advanced Support of Electronic Media and Increased Graphical Output Options
Lanham, MD — Group 1 Software (Nasdaq: GSOF), a leading provider of customer relationship management (CRM)-enabling software solutions, today announced significant enhancements to its DOC1 suite for customer communications management. The DOC1 suite is an integrated, end-to-end solution, providing both print and Web delivery of customer communications. DOC1 gives businesses complete control of the document lifecycle, from content design, generation, and presentment to archive, retrieval and payment.
The DOC1 suite now offers more flexible and powerful handling of graphics and fonts. These enhancements facilitate the design of personalized promotional pieces, including full-color direct mail, newsletters and brochures. DOC1 also enables users to design communications simultaneously for both print output and electronic media using a single intuitive graphical user interface. Additionally, users can now associate hypertext links with graphics to extend the reach of a document.
The message management component of the DOC1 Suite has also been enhanced to read and write to multiple databases, allowing marketers easily to manage multi-channel campaigns from marketing automation systems. Marketers can also import content from Microsoft Word and preview message selection logic prior to putting campaigns in production.
“The enhancements to the DOC1 suite demonstrate Group 1's continued commitment to the market's evolving requirements for robust, flexible document generation software,” said Alan Slater, president of DOC1 Division. “We continue to enhance DOC1 to provide the industry's broadest customer communications management solution for enterprise-wide use.”
DOC1 now supports Scitex Digital Printing's VersaMark Printing Systems, with the new Ink Jet Printer Data Stream (IJPDS) driver, allowing users to print full-color, highly personalized customer communications on the VersaMark Printing Systems. Additionally, DOC1 can now import line data, enabling users to migrate legacy applications to generate more graphically oriented, fully formatted customer communications. To support its growing Asian customer base, DOC1 has greatly enhanced its support for Chinese, Japanese, and Korean Windows fonts for document development in users' native languages. To see a product demonstration of the DOC1 suite, visit Group 1's booth (#301) at Billing World 2002, June 18-20 at the Baltimore Convention Center in Baltimore, Maryland.
